Eggs laid with Cancer Drug

I caught a short blurb of this on the news this morning.
Chickens laying eggs that is laced with cancer fighting drug.
What do you all think?
I don't like the idea personally.

Processing egg whites and collecting chemicals used to make medicine. I don't see the problem?

I don't know much if anything about chickens eggs or the laying of eggs. But the chicken is being modified to lay the eggs with the cancer drug in them.
I feel this in some way is hurtful/dangerous for the chickens.
I'm not into drug/chemicals, etc being tested on animals. I feel this is the same.
I hope not.
