Eggs left cold for hours may survive yet!!!! UPDATE!!!

About 10 days ago I had a hen, sitting on 20+ eggs found a hole in the pen and could not find her way back. The eggs were cold when I got home, I put her back on and posted at byc. Many of you advised best to wait. Today I picked up one of her eggs and I heard peeps!!!!!! Very excited. How long now?

Sometimes it can take up to a day or so for hatching, and then others it can take a very short time. Most of mine have taken anywhere from four to six hours after the first pip.

Wow, great, gives me hope! Our power was out 4 hours this am, temp in bator down to 81.
