eggs looking a little different lately

Lately my RIR's eggs have been having a dark area on the smaller end of the egg. It almost looks like a grease stain. Is this anything to be concerned about? The eggs seem fine when I've used them. Also, why do the eggs sometimes have dark brown speckles? Thanks for any insights.

It's just the way the color gets applied - last thing applied before the cuticle.
I have a welsummer that sometimes lays a smooth very uniform very dark egg but most often lighter completely covered with chocolate dots.

I doubt the spot on the end is a problem.
