eggs not hatched

what caused eggs to not hatch? incubated for 23 days cracked one open yolk stillyellow in color and black and bad odor.

What kind of incubator....your own eggs or shipped....how were your temps and humidity?

There are lots of reason for failed hatches.

I would say if you have good temp and everthing that they where not fertile.
