Eggs not lighting up when candled...

I have 6 Red Sex Link eggs that are on their 23rd day today. None of them have even pipped. I tried candling them, but I can't see a thing, the eggs just block the light. I know I'm not doing it wrong because I can see signs of life in my other eggs, even the darkest Marans egg I have. I'm thinking the chicks are goners

you arent supposed to see much but leave them in there. eggs can go on hatching until day twent 5 until them keep them on lockdow.
