eggs on the coop floor, need more nest box's?

I have 6 hens that just started laying. I am getting 5-6 eggs a day. when i heard cackling I took a peak and there where 2 hens in one box trying to lay eggs and one was destine to hit the coop floor (the egg). since the first day i got 6 eggs in one day, i have found 1 egg on floor. i thought you only needed 1 nest box per 4-6 hens. I have 3 boxes do i need more? i really don't have anymore room. what should i do let it go and get a few dirty eggs or somehow add more boxes?

Sounds like they just haven't quite figured it out yet. No matter how many nest boxes you have there will always be a "favorite" nest box that everyone will try to lay in. They'll just have to figure it out.
