I bought some eggs from a woman online and when I got them about half of the 2 doz was oozing this yellowish clear liquid. They where not broken, it looked more like the liquid was coming from the pores. What would be the cause of this? Photo attached.

I just threw out an egg yesterday, that was one day 2 of incubation, with about five spots like that. From what I've read, TAKE IT OUT OF THE BATOR. It has the potential of exploding and damaging all the others. I don't know why though but I'm assuming its a bad egg.

I did take them out as soon as I noticed them. It made me upset that half the 2 doz I bought was like this the very first day I got them.
contact the person,

where they ebay eggs? you will have right to refund if you paid through paypal. they cant guarantee eggs to hatch but the eggs you were sent were bad.

I talked to the seller. She/He didnt want to admit that the eggs were bad but did refund me the money for them. I'll try to hatch the ones that wasnt oozing anything but something tells me not to get my hopes up.

glad you got a refund. good luck with the rest. they may be fine but expect lots of blood rings

I am thrilled you got a refund. Typically those are sappy spots and they come from rough shipping unfortunately. You found yourself a good seller I don't think it was their fault at all.
Did you crack any open? usually they will crack and actually be scrambled inside, and sometimes even start to get tan in color when opened. https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-101

TINY Sappy spots possibly due to Rough Shipment of EGGS

you are a great teacher miss sunshine

the ones that oozed on me like that were hand carried local eggs. but they stunk

oozy stunk! and they made it to your door? hand carried by horseback! WOW And when you cracked them open what was up inside them?
you are supposed to be saving a chicks life somewhere!!!

they started oozing in the bator. i failed to ask here if there was an odor and presumed the incubation was underway
