You have some very good, dual-purpose chickens. The first breed that I ever had (about 50 years ago) were Brahmas, and they were gentle giants. I like the chocolate eggs of the Welsummers, and the Australorps are my favorite standard breed; very hardy, calm and gentle, and excellent layers of large, brown eggs. Good luck with your flock.
