None of my eggs are fertle. I have three roosters to 14 hens, and I see them chase the girls all the time. But none of the eggs I put in the incubator (or broody hen) seem to hatch. On the last batch of 11 eggs under a broody, 2 chicks where there, but one died a day before the hatch. ALL of the others where infertle. We cracked them all and they looked like normal eggs. Could our head rooster be bad? He is two years old, and all of out chickens are free-range. Shadow, the head rooster is a fully-featherd healthy looking bird. There is little to no fighting in our roosters, the other two are a year old and dont bother Shadow or the hens. Sould I dump Shadow and get a new rooster? Or is it my hens? It seems we have a pretty poor hatch-rate, eather way.
