eggs too big?

Hi,
I have 4 hens and one of them (silver-laced wyandotte) is laying HUGE eggs. They are often cracked and mis-shapen. What can i do to help her--i am worried this will hurt her. SHould i change food? I feed them all Layena plus some scratch and occasionally let them into the yard for grass, etc.

Is she a new layer? If so, don't worry. Takes a little while to get the plumbing kinks worked out. What you're feeding is fine.

Oh - and

!!!! Alot of times new layers lay double yolkers so that's probably why they're so big.

She's actually a little over a year old. The problem with the eggs has been happening over the past 2 or 3 months, and seems to be getting worse. At first they were just mis-shapen, but they have been getting bigger and more cracked. Thanks!
