I found 2 duck eggs at the park last week in the middle of a busy field, there were no nests around and there was people stomping all around, so I picked them up and put them under a heat lamp.

I wasn’t sure if they were fertilized, so I didn’t think to order a proper incubator. We at least kept the temperature at 100 and humidity at 50! Well today I candled them and there’s veins and an eye.

When I came home from a walk at 7pm the temp had dropped to 90 for some reason, so I added a towel to the incubator. Well I forgot and when I checked at 9pm it was 125 :(

The eggs felt warmer than normal but in about 3 minutes or so they felt cool again.
I don’t know how long it was that high but I doubt very long.
Did I fry them? Has anyone had survivors with a quick temp spike at about day 6-7?

There’s only 2 eggs so I feel like likely there’s no chance. I am so sad… I just got excited today that they were developing. Shed a few tears… is there any hope
