I hatch hundreds of birds. So far I've hatched 400 this year. I have GQF incubators. Everything is hatching great....except my Jubilee Orpingtons. At the beginning of the season they were developing and hatching. However, about a month and a half ago they just stopped developing. I have 3 hens and 2 roosters. So we put the other rooster in there thinking maybe it was the first roo not doing its job. I still haven't had an egg develop. What could be causing this? I know it's not my incubator because of all the other eggs that are hatching. AND these were fertile and hatching when I started and that only lasted a few weeks.

  • How old are your Orpingtons?
  • How is the temperature where you live?
  • What exactly do you feed them?
  • When did you last deworm them?
  • Did you treat them with antibiotics lately for signs of cold or sneezing?
  • Did you properly trim back their butt fluff to facilitate fertilisation?
  • Is there some antipathy regarding one of the roosters?
  • Did you change their coop set up or change coops lately?
  • Did you check the feet of the roosters for any signs of bumble foot or injuries that might impede proper mating?
  • And lastly: Did you check if they perhaps might be too fat?
