Eggs?

I have 2 Rhode island reds, just wondering when I should start seeing eggs, they are 22 weeks! anything special I can do that would help them out a little? thank you!
How exciting! Typically my girls started laying between 6 months 7 months of age. Most of them went broody at age 8 months! Whew! I provided mine with oyster shell and a good layer feed.

Average onset of lay for most breeds is 18-28 weeks.
Diet and time of year can make a difference.
Have you raised the from tiny chicks?
What all and how exactly are you feeding?

Oh, and, Welcome to BYC!

How long have they been on layer feed?
They really shouldn't get it until they actually start laying,
higher calcium and and lower protein can slow that last growing spurt.
Treats should be kept to a minimum, less than 10% of total daily volume intake, as they can dilute the nutrition of the main feed. Neither is the end of the world, but may delay laying.

Here's some tips on how to tell.....
