My girls are just about 5months, should they being laying already??? 2 pekings,2 blue swedish, 2 buffs..

Sometimes you can tell when they start squatting for drakes or for yourself when you pick her up or place her down.

I like to put in oyster shell at around 24-30 weeks old. Usually when you expect them to start laying.

They have been squatting for the drakes for probably a month now, and for eachother!!! Lol

My ducks (mallards) used to lay all over the place. I'd find random eggs out in the middle of the cow pasture and even have to wade in the pond to get them.
