I missed collecting eggs from the big coop one day and the next day found much more eggs than usual. I thought one of the younger chickens must have started laying and collected the eggs. Then I was looking at them on the counter I realized those eggs really don't match and none of my chickens would lay that color since the big coop is all the dark brown layers and some EE. Finally it came to me that those are guinea fowl eggs! 2 of them so far:

Of course I'm saving them to hatch even if they are their first eggs. Tuesday my bantams are hatching and then I will set any guinea eggs I managed to find and collect. I have 2 hens, 1 royal purple and 1 coral blue, and then 1 royal purple male and the guy who I got them from was getting some slates out of his flock so lots of colors are possible. Pearls, purples, violets, blues, lavenders, sky blue, bronze, slate.... Just depends what genes these guys could be hiding. At minimum I would think I could get pearls, purples, and violets.

We did the same thing I think I have been accidently selling our guinea eggs as eating eggs! lol Just realized today when I caught one in the box that hey these smaller really pointy eggs are from the guineas! We have no idea what gender most of ours are but now know that we have at least two hens. An opaline and a coral blue. We have two other coral blues and four royal purples.... not a clue what all we could get, but I will be setting those eggs soon as I have room in the incubator

THANK YOU!!!!!!!! for posting your guinea eggs. I have 15 guineas-don't know how many boys vs girls- and also have 18 chicken hens that are just over a year old. Three days ago, by mid afternoon (that's about when my girls finish for the day but I've been collecting a couple times a day because the guinea's hang out around the nest boxes and occasionally break one) anyway by midafternoon I had collected 19 eggs (18 laying chickens). So I looked through my countertop basket of eggs that were from a few days and found a few more that look like yours. So if these are guinea eggs some of my guinea hens have been laying for a couple of months. Wow, I feel dumb. All of my chickens usually lay big brown eggs, and I had figured that one of my smaller hens was just making smaller eggs for some reason.

They are perfect inside when cracked open and I've noticed they have a much harder shell too.

I figured my guineas would 'leave the coop' and go a least a little ways into the woods on our property. The chickens do whenever the gate gets opened for 1/2 a second.
But the guineas stay close to home, literally, and I must say I'm thrilled that they are laying their eggs in the nest boxes in the coop.

My husband says just keep using them as eating eggs. I'm sure they are fertile since I've seen some mating going on. Since we have 15 guineas, we really don't need more but I'd kinda like to see some babies hatch out sometime this summer for the grandchild to see, maybe. Do you think I should sell my guinea eggs for hatching?

I am also very very happy to report that my guineas are not the least bit aggressive towards us humans or the dogs. They are quite lovable actually.

Still can't pick them up but they will come all around me with being afraid anymore. And they get along fabulously with my chickens. My husband says they know a good thing when they see it, that's why they won't leave.

I'm so excited...guinea eggs!
