Can you tell if an egg was fertile or not?

I purchased these eggs. The seller said that 10 would probably hatch and said they often hatch 12 of 12. I think I see a couple of these started developing but want another opinion. I'll post several picture because the lighting changed and it looks like I moved the eggs around.

Out of the 17 eggs, 5 hatched. 29% hatch rate.

I bought these eggs local so there should have been no shipping damage.

Well, I've been reading and believe I found a place that goes over this pretty well.

Eggtopsy and Fertility - it says:

It’s a common misperception that if an egg does not develop, it wasn’t fertile to begin with. While that’s definitely a possibility, there are other reasons that an egg might appear completely undeveloped after incubation. A fertile egg can sustain damage in shipping that prevents it from developing, or an egg might be stored improperly or for too long. It’s also possible for a fertile egg to start and stop development so quickly that there are no signs at breakout.

And it also says:

After 21 days of incubation, the blastodisc or blastoderm is so degraded that it’s impossible to tell for certain if an undeveloped egg was fertile or not.

Most of us candle at 5-7 days and toss the infertile ones. I call them lava lamps as they light up with nothing but a yolk inside, whereas those developing have a little blob with veins coming from it.

I see some globs in that pile of egg matter, so apparently, at least a couple of them started and then stopped.
