I hatched 5 bantam mixes (both parents are purebred but different breeds) and 3 purebred amerucaunas on Friday the 19th. I can't keep the roosters so I would like to know who is a boy so I won't get to attached. :-/ i know it's pretty early to tell gender but I thought you guys might have a more educated guess than I have.
I got the eggs from a friend and she said that the hens and the roosters and hens are purebred but the chicks would be mixed. They could be, sebright mix, Cochin mix, silkie mix, sultan mix, Polish mix, Millie d'uucle mix, etc. The amerucaunas are seperate from the rest of the flock so the chicks are purebred.
Pearl, very tiny, feathered feet but not many feathers, orange feet.
Daisy, very tiny, feathered feet but not many feathers, blackish blue feet with a orangeish color on the end of toes. Edit: i didn't realise the wing pic didn't show that she had white feathers growing in on the top of her wing.
Disco, medium size but very lean, large amounts of feathering on feet, extra toes, pinkish orangish feet.
Peggy, larger size (bantam wise), no feathers on feet, feet are a pinkish orange while part way up the leg is a black color skin.
Mango, medium size, lots of feathers on feet, one extra toes (yes I said 1!), feet are a pinkish orange.
Now for the amerucaunas, I know the breed for these guys but I would like help with gender identification.
Tootsie, large and has a boy like attitude.
Carmel, normal size, quiet and "flies under the radar"
Hershey, almost the exact same size and demeanor as Carmel.
Thanks!
