Elector PSP -- toxicity?

Hi all!

I've just bought some Elector PSP to treat for poultry lice, and I've read that there's no egg withdrawal, but after reading the label, I'm worried that it might make the chickens themselves inedible. The label gives instructions for egg producing poultry, but clearly says that "Horses NOT intended for human consumption may be present at the time of premise treatment."

Can I eat the chickens after treating with this? What makes horses different?

Look it up on the Farad.org site. I thought it was cleared for poultry of all sorts, but haven't looked lately.
Different rules apply for different species, and rules change, so check it out.

I just looked it up, and am confused. It seems to be fine used in the coop, but not on the birds. It's relatively non-toxic, but it is an insecticide, so follow directions.
