This has been a HARD week as a new chicken owner. My 10 girls are 21 weeks old and four of them have started laying. One who is not laying 1) has started pulling feather AND 2) pecked open an egg. At my husband's insistence, we put her on a crate adjacent to the run, and ate alternating time in the crate with supervised free ranging. BUT this morning my neighbor claims.he saw a weasel on our property. I'm flipped out because we are WAY behind in getting their run properly protected. We have materials for making an electric fence, but now wonder about spacing and the size of the controller -how many volts or ohms or joules or whatever etc. Any detailed info from those who created their own fence (as opposed to buying from Premier one) would be very much appreciated.
