electric tape or strand

Hi,

we working on reinforcements to keep raccoons and opossums out of our chicken yard and coop.

I get so mad when they kill my chickens and don't even eat my lovely egg makers. What a waste.

We have chain link fence with chicken fence around the bottom. Has anyone found two lines of electric strand or tape type fencing, 6" and 12" high, to be effective? Other suggestions?

It should work fine, but I wouldn't use tape.
It moves around a lot in the wind, and doesn't hold up as long as other types of fencing

You will also need to give a lot of thought to what type of insulators you use, and how you will keep enough tension on the material.
There are lots of options but not all of them work well together
