So, I recently got some sav-a-chick electrolyte mix, and I was just wondering how often and how much would be safe to offer to my ducklings? (about 3 weeks old). Also, making 1 gallon of the solution fresh daily is a waste- it's too much. Is there any way I can make less for a given day?

If they are active and healthy they don't need the save a chick. It's used right after you get them (if shipped from a hatchery) or if you have one who is not doing well. Budget wise to use it daily would be an expense you don't need. Hold onto it for incase of emergency.

I agree with Celtic
If they are 3 weeks old and healthy they don't need the electrolytes. As for not mixing up a whole gallons worth you can pour half of the package in a half gallon of water and put the package with the other half in a ziplock bag for the next day. Once you mix it with water it is not supposed to be held longer.
