Been lurking here for two or three years and finally made an account.
Husband is retired navy, we are enjoying our own little farm and I can finally do livestock rescue. Military life limited me to foster and rescue of dogs and cats.
We have two dogs, two cats, an African grey parrot, kunekune piggies, Spanish black turkeys, quail and assorted chickens. I also have several animals at my friends down the street with 40 acres. Goats, two horses and my AGH.
Almost all of our animals were free off Craigslist and we have been blessed with the most amazing personality’s; we even love our Tom turkey who is homicidal towards people. He takes great care of his flock of assorted poultry so despite having to bonk him with the feed bucket daily while threatening him with freezer camp we still love him. Well that and the neighbors find our daily routine with him hilarious.
I also train all sorts of critters and use a service dog.
