EMERGENCY chick is bleeding

Are you trying to "help"?

If so, you need to let the chick do it's own work. Can take 6-48 hrs from pip to hatch.

wrap him up in the damp cloth or papertowel and put him back. Leave him alone for a couple of hours. He'll likely be okay.

When someone says its "bleeding" is there blood still in the egg, or is the chick/duck actually bleeding? If so bleeding from where?

If this is the chick you posted about wanting to help, the bleeding means it wasn't ready to hatch yet.
