EMERGENCY DUCK EGG ISSUE

hello guys! i just started to expand my farm and went to another farm to buy some chicken eggs to incubate! after waiting the full 21 days, all 5 of my eggs hatched but one. i waited till day 23 and made a small hole to see what the issue was. come to find out, i was accidentally given a duck egg and was still growing. thankfully i just broke into the air cell. it’s a small hole, probably about the size of a dime, but the egg seems formed and the egg is black under light. it still is moving but i think as i was opening the egg, i may have chipped into the membrane a tad bit. i didn’t break any vessels or anything, the membrane just peeled off, but i could still see a bit of veining and feathers. what i’ve done was place tape over the hole and placed it back in the incubator, what should i do? can it still hatch?

It can and might. My first time hatching duck eggs I opened an egg I thought was dead. Like you I made a hole in the air sac. It wasn’t as early as yours but it was a couple days early. Mine ended up hatching a few days later but needed some assistance. I had him for many years.
