emergency,,,,graphic photos need some advice

i have this chick that i found in her cage with this commin out her bottem end and sad to say she was already deceased,,any ideas on how or what this is and how it happen?

Hard to tell. Looks like a prolapse. Or perhaps did something get in and take a bite (possums start at the bottom)?

was not bitten because the pen is way off the ground. so i dont really know but i am so upset bout it.
