To me this is an EMERGENCY!!!! I went to check on my ducks again and i notice my female didn't have all her eggs in her nest. I went looking for it in the coop. Then I notice it was in the run. It was broken and I tried to get it out of there. Before i could get it she started to eat the yolk and stuff. So do I need to worry about the other eggs as well. I don't want her to start eating her babies. I'm new to the whole chickens and ducks laying and sitting type stuff. I'm really worried. I even cried over it. I just need to know if I should buy an incubator or not. Also my drake lives in the same coop as my female duck. Do I need to separate them???

Hello I don't have any experience with ducks but I know with chickens if they eat an egg sometimes they will eat the others and sometimes they won't. Since you said it's broody it probably won't but it's up to you to make that decision, use your best judgement.

Thanks we did some research on it and apparently they well kick a dead egg out of the nest and roll it away.
