Emu and ducks together?

Can it be done? I would think Emu would be more intimidating to potential predators, apart from being really cool. I have been told NO GEESE! So now i am thinking Emu
After all, my motto is now and had always been, Go Big, or GO HOME!

Emus do well with others. They don’t make friends with them, but tolerate chickens and ducks. Emus have kept my aerial predator issue down a bit. Not completely though. They will go after any ground predators that enter their fenced area.

You beat me to it! My emus were purchased to be pets and bird area protection. So yes

ya minew thew the duckling up in the air over and over agian until they died it was horible. a repair man that was doing some work informed me.

Poor little thing… what a scary way to go.

Whenever I have any babies, they are kept separate and only let out when they can be watched around the emus. Eventually the youngins learn not to run. If they don’t run, emus won’t chase them.

I have 60 or 70 other birds with two emus. Only freak thing that happened (other than chasing things that run) is a young hen got stepped on and broke her leg. Luckily the leg healed after splinting it for a couple weeks.
