Good day Everybody,
I hope someone can help me, I have bought three (3) adult emu about a week ago, Last week Tuesday all three Emu's went into the shallow dam in their holding area, but only two of the Emu's came out the third one remained in the dam unable to stand up.
I tried to help him stand up as it stayed in a squatted position as soon as we helped it to stand up its feet curls inwards.
We contacted a local Vet which indicated that the bird might have stress due to the move from one farm to the other, and gave us some stress medication. We have given the bird the medication but to no avail. We have been advised to give them diarrhea medication but that doesn't seem to be working either. Now the other two Emu's have been experiencing different symptoms as well.
Now one of the other two is starting to walk on its "toes" and frequently squats as well.
Please help
