I just pulled the turner out of my incubator and set up the webcam. The two eggs on the top of the screen have been wiggling when I set them on the counter. The egg on the bottom of the screen we think is a dud.

Here is a little background.

We bought the eggs from a BYC member and they shipped them from KS to us in upstate NY. I have hatched chickens, and ducks with my three young boys (2,5,7). When these eggs arieved in January I didn't tell them what type of eggs they were, I wanted them to figure it out. So for the first three weeks my oldest thought they were either dragon or alien eggs. The five year old thought they were dinosaur eggs. This past Sunday we did a float test, filled the laundry sink with warm water and set the egg gently in the water, the egg moved on it's own. After this my oldest realy wanted to know what they were so he did his first google search. Now every one knows they are Emu.

So we set the eggs January 6th and have kept the temp steady at 97f and humidity at 30-35%. We are now at 42 days and the eggs are starting to move. We are expecting the hatch anytime from 2/23 till 3/3

Ha. Haha. That sounds like a line from a Dr Seuss book.

Good luck with your alien dinosaur eggs. Don't know how you had the patience to wait this long. 21 days for chickens just about kills me!

I pulled the two eggs out for a minute earlier and the were still moving pretty good. I have been hoping to see them move on the camera but no luck so far.
