i worked all day and finished most of it. I was not expecting it to be so warm and I'm not a be out in the heat person. I got most of the wood free, so it didn't cost much to get it done. I still have to seal a couple areas that are not as tight as I would like and I'm putting electric fence around it. I have to have some come over and hold the back so I can get the screw in from the inside because it's very tight(up against the duck house. Got a real cool rechargeable light that has three settings, so I can see them at night(it doesn't stay on) but it may come in handy in the winter. I used a flax bedding. Keeps them cool in summer and warm in winter. They all gollowed me as I worked. Once I starting closing it up, they went in on their own to check it out and they seemed to like it. Of course they have the whole area to sleep and they all still went into the original area to sleep.
So I added the window--which can be open in the good weather and closed in the winter or open with the Plexi glass so they get light. I left the top right side open for ventilation. There is a small window for ventilation on the left side. I did leave about 4-5 inches about 3.5 long on the back end for ventilation too. Added locks to the doors with carbiners and a lock for the new window. Re-bolted the hardware cloth on the ground.
