English 2 HELP please!!!!!!

so i have to analyze the poem by Edward Taylor "Upon a Wasp Chilled with Cold" lines 15-20.

"As if her little brain pan were

A volume of choice precepts clear.

As if her satin jacket hot

Contained apothecary's shop

Of nature's receipts, that prevails

To remedy all her sad ails..."


I'm not asking for anyone to do my homework for me! I just need some help understanding what this part of the poem means!!

I know about the theme of God (sun) and the wasp (humans) but i need more!!

I love poetry and I hate poetry...lol. I didn't relate it to humans myself...kept it simply as a wasp (they can't do much in the cold) warming up, grooming (whatever it is they do when they take their legs/"hands" over their bodies, and then flying away.
I'm probably way off base, but my take is the "brain pan-preconcepts clear" means it's like she's actually thinking, with purpose (book of knowledge/plan). I took the way she's moving her legs over her body, like she's healing herself or something (apothecary = old time pharmacy/medicine)... Don't know if that's close, but that's how I visualize it...​

receipts = recipes

so her "jacket", here own body, contains all of the recipes in nature's pharmacy....


As if her brain is a clear book of good laws (axioms)
As if her body is a pharmacy full of nature's healing recipes
