I’m so thankful for this group! I am having so much fun with my chickens and have referred back to this site countless times for advice and suggestions! So, I decided to join!
I decided last spring to get a few chicks, (husband thought that meant 3), and came home with 7! Having 7 grandsons, I felt that was a great number.
Since then, we have built an additional lean to type structure around their original coup so they can have more room to run. (We have fox and other dangers around us so can’t free range.)
It’s been educational and interesting to raise chickens and I’m so happy that they have continued throughout the cold and snowy winter to lay eggs.
We are welcoming a new grandson in a few weeks; so looking forward to getting another chick too.
