Enlarged Crop

One of my Ameracauna hens has an enlarged crop. She is eating, and passing stool, so I don't think it's impacted. The enlarged crop makes her appear as if she has a goiter. Sometimes it affects her voice, and I notice her moving her neck around as if she's in a little discomfort. Her mood and activity level are good. Is this something I should be worried about? Is there anything that can be done? Thank you!

I am no expert on this but some more info and pics might help our experts to help you... Does the crop go down in size overnight? Is the crop hard / soft / squishy / gritty? Does she have access to grit and what does she eat? She is otherwise behaving ok?

I'm not at home right now, so can't take pics. The crop isn't hard, it's full but pliable. I gave her mineral oil yesterday and massaged it. I forgot to get the food out last night, but will do so tonight and check her crop tomorrow morning. She forages in her run, and outside of it if I can supervise, so she has access to grit. But I don't give them a grit supplement.

I have the very same thing going on right now. Just called Peter Brown 1-410-546-6137 and he is sending me somthing now. I've talked to him three times today. Don't take them of food or water. Don't give ACV and other chickens can't get it from that one, only from where that chicken got it from. So no need to take them out. I've been up all night reading all the different things people have tried. Couldn't tell what to do, from right or wrong.
No time for a shot in the dark.

Her diet is as follows: Layer pellets, leaf lettuce, cracked corn, and bugs and grass from foraging. My hens get cracked corn once a day only, and not a huge amount as it's just a treat for them.
