I have a 10 by 10 run that has a wire roof covered with a tarp made for it. I am worried the chickens are not getting enough sun. sun does come in sides some. Hubby says it’s fine and I worry to much about the girls. I haven’t been free ranging as I am in a wooded area with lots of critters both flying and otherwise but might try. My girls are 9 weeks old. I am new to chickens but loving every minute of these delightful creatures.

I think it sounds fine too. Chikens do like subathing but it sounds like they will be able to do that at yours.
It's the length of sunlight per day that affects them more than how much sun they are getting, they just like the sun because it can warm them on cold days.

Welcome to BYC.

Depending on where you're located (you can add it to your profile), deep shade all day can be very good -- chickens deal better with cold than with heat -- but the ability to access a little sun from time to time is probably also good.
