More spam from me...I’ve been reading a lot about chicken-chick enrichment and wanted to ask some specific questions about peas that I havent seen addressed yet.
What are potentially good and safe ways to offer peachicks enrichment? I have five babies, all about one month old. They were recently moved to a big enclosed puppy pen with a sand bottom and some cleaned wood perches. I saw one post on here from ages back stating that peachicks will play with toys, so today I added two parrot toys and a little cat ball. They have been investigating.
What else have people tried? They get a varied diet and time out of the pen at least once a day. Can I clean certain kinds of vegetation and hang it in there (taking it out before it moulds) —? They have grit, as I feed them stuff like oats and chopped kale. I gave them some wheatgrass once and they were skeptical.
Any ideas are welcome, even for adult penned birds!
