My little barred cochin roo who hatched 3/20 started "crowing" more like creaking, I heard him tuesday at 7:30 go er.....er-er......er-er, he stopped I walked into the livingroom and he looked up at me I swear he was smiling, and proudly did it a couple more times. He did it again yesterday at 7:23. He still has pinfeathers on his back while everyone else in with him are just about fully feathered and preparing for the outdoor move. Guess thats not happening, now he has to move to where roos are allowed soon, fortunately hes still pretty quiet (and adorable).

My 5 week old cochin bantam started crowing a week ago, and I about died laughing!

...I am new to raising chickens and I was watching the news at the time. He is so cute!!

They are very funny when they first start to crow, just like guys voices changing.

But they figure it out, given some time.

yeah its pretty funny, really cant help but laugh, its such a short crow but he's so proud of it.

First crows are hilarious.

Most of them eventually get better (there's the occasional one who doesn't and sounds silly forever, though), but I just love hearing those first crows and laughing.
