escaped chicken !

my sisters chicken somehow managed to escape cross the main road and get into the neighbours garden opposite we tried hard to catch her but it got dark and we didn't manage to get her so we are going to try again in the morning , Im scared ! how likely is it that a fox will find her before I do ?

shes never been away at night I think she will roost in the thick bushes

I would go out there with a flashlight (with your neighbor's permission, of course) and see if I could find where she's roosting, then pluck her off the roost and take her home. It's much easier to catch them at night than during the day.

We tried this last night but there are a lot of big bushes and she happens to be a black hen

we caught her today though so its all good

who knew chickens could run so fast !

PS when I picked her up to put her back in the coop I noticed her tummy was pink and featherless , is this abnormal ?
