I live in a suburban area where i cant fire a gun. So i have live traps. But in my state releasing a coon or skunk in another location is illegal due to rabies. And thanks to the ahole who released their coons near me... they will never go near a trap again. But in the event i get lucky...

What are eithanasia methods for trapped coons? Squirrels? Skunks? Etc?

The pure number makes calling animal control too costly

I can't say I necessarily would do this myself, but a lot of people drown the animal. Put the live trap with the culprit in a big tote with a rock on top and bust out the hose.

As I said, i have never done this and don't know if I could/would. I know I wouldn't want a water death! But this would indeed be a solution to your problem.

The fifth amendment protects us from self incriminization. Having said that...A friend of a friend of my uncle tried the scuba method and said while it may be fine for rats and mice, its longer and more painful than you want it to be for larger animals.

Does anyone know what is recommended? Legal?

Maybe the friend of a friend of my uncle just needs to bring out his inner jeffrey dahmer and break out the husky can and garden hose. Seems legal in my state.

If you’re in town and can’t humanely kill them, I think you’re better off reinforcing your coop and run instead. Electric fencing is your friend.
Ive got welded wire under chicken wire and reinforcement. But still lost 2. The neighbors security cam saw an army of maybe 20 or 30. They surround the coop and scare them to one side while another reaches between the wire and grabs a neck. They then pull off little pieces of chicken little at a time. There are no predators or trappers of coons in my area and i think people feed them too. And lets not forget what they do to the garden, trash cans, etc.
