evaporation and temp in bators

I have found that if placed over the water tray that the temp is a few degrees less directly over where the water is evaporating. I have also found that eggs over the tray dont do as well I believe because of the temp difference. In my genisis I have ben keeping all my eggs now around the water tray but not above it. The difference is huge!

well it makes sence since that is why we sweat, evaporation cools the air around it. I a sure if I did a search about it I would find others who have mentioned it but I did not bother lol but based on my recent tests I am quiet sure about it.
