I have been reading a bunch of awesome information from here so I decided to join in I am a total greenhorn about this, so thoughts and advice is so very welcome. We just finished building & modifying our coop tonight. I have 3 acres but the girls will only have access to one acre thats fenced. I am getting 4 Rhode Island Reds this week. The girls are a year old and I am super excited. However I am having a very hard time trying to find any that are 16-17 weeks old near me. I really want Ameraucana, Sussex and Wyandotte but can't find any at all other than day old chicks. I am in Pa close to Lehigh Valley & Upper Bucks County if anyone knows where I can go. Looking forward to interacting with everyone.

You could post on the Ohio thread. Many people are only going to have little chicks, and spring hatching has just started.
