Ever had a chick just hatch out of one side of the egg?

So I've got some Welsummer and Barnevelders on day 21, and two already hatched early this morning. I can see one egg fully pipped but had a hard time telling which other egg hatched because the rest of them all appeared intact except this one:

As you can see, it also appears intact, but there is some broken eggshell beneath it so unless those two chicks came from the same egg, this must be it.

Both chicks appear to be "normal" so far.

I need to am in middle of hatch it's crowded in there but I'm scared to open. I go to work later today was worried about the humidty .. if I do one at a time I assume will be ok
Just crack it open as little as possible and grab all the shells out as quick as you can. Make sure not to smash any chick toes when you close it again. The humidity spikes when the chicks hatch so removing the shells or chicks quickly won’t hurt anything.

I have Govees in my incubators, that is how I estimate time of hatching, when I see a spike in humidity on the chart. Great little things to have!

So that's what happened. I'm guessing it just zipped according to the best place for it! Seems it came out of the narrow end but not around the circumference. I don't mark the air cells (yet) so my guess that is where the air cell was instead of at the fat end? Who knows. It made it out regardless and is now in the brooder.

Both chicks appear to be "normal" so until I take the time to differentiate between Barnevelder (egg in question) and Welsummer chicks, I won't know which one it is. These two are currently spending all of their time nestled under the brooder heat plate.
