Ever heard your chickens scream?

Our chickens keep screaming lol. It sounds like when you have a tea kettle on the stove and it whistles lol. But anyone know why they do this?

Mine have o ly screamed like that once and it was when a coyote was looking at them through the run. May want to be sure there is no predator nearby, including flying ones

I have one who is afraid of everything that moves including me if I get too close. She will run and fly while screaming like a horribly grief stricken woman whenever I get too close. She is the only one I have heard do it, but she certainly does. And, it is "very" loud.

We’re out here with them and I don’t see anything. And flying ones can’t get to them, their pin has a roof

One of my girls in particular likes to scream just randomly (I think she talking to herself) I can hear it up from the house.
