They Tip It Over, ! How Can I Make My Chickens Stop Tiping There Water Over?

What kind of waterer are you using?

Get one of the vacuum waterers! They come in metal or plastic. THe one I have is 7 gallons and there is NO WAY a chicken could tip it over! Set it up on a couple of short 2x6 boards to keep the shavings and bedding out of the trough. Make sure it is level and the outlet is on the down side so it doesnt all siphon out! Terri O

What type of waterer are you using? Perhaps one with a bigger base would work better. I hang mine from the roof in the coop so that it is about as tall as the birds shoulders, it helps to keep the birds from playing in it and keeps dirt and straw out off it.
