Hey all,
We had to put one of our girls (four hens total), into broody jail for a few days.
Upon reintroduction, there were some scuffles as the pecking order shifted. However, she (our Ex-Broody) won't stop going after one particular hen every few minutes (The attacked hen just runs away and tries to avoid her.)
We expected her to get ganged up on since she was the one separated, but it appears that she's the bully here.
I'm not fluent in the finer aspects of chicken communication and social structure, so we're doing our 'best guess' to know when the fighting is 'too much'. So really- how do YOU judge when it's too much?
Advice, tips, and knowledge welcome.
