Because I love my Welp Blue Australorps that I got from Carolina Town and Country last year I wanted to order more. I put together a 25-bird order for the April 12th hatch and submitted it Monday night.
Today I was contacted by the customer service rep because the Blue Australorps wouldn't be available until the June 2nd hatch.
I was offered the option of moving my date or subbing another breed and I moved my date.
That made it possible, though not definite, that the Blue Plymouth Tints might not be available. So she let me have time to look at the website and then email her a list of substitutions so that if there was a problem with that breed I'd be ready to go without further problems.
It's unfortunate that demand has overwhelmed supply this way, especially since I thought I was ordering nice and early, but the customer service dealing with the problem couldn't have been better and I think that deserves public acknowledgement.
