I'm so excited. I get to go pick up thee last two of the chicks I wanted Wednesday. I originally bought 6 chicks from TSC. I got 4 Cornish Rocks and Two assorted reds, which i think are rhode island reds. Well long story short, I didnt' do my research ahead time. So the decision came that we would butcher the 4 cornish x and find 4 chicks to replace them because my dear hubby is building a good size coop for 6 chickens. I found two more rhode island reds through a local farmer. I then decided to set out and get 2 buff orpingtons. I posted on craigs list saying i wanted bo's and surprise to me I found two. The only down side is I will have to drive about an hour to pick them up. But I'll finally have all my chiccks this week. The best part is, all 6 chicks are right around the same age so the integration of the last two chicks should be fairly easy.
