(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am very new to chickens, I got my first flock of 4 about a month and half ago at roughly 4-5 weeks old and unfortunately they all obtained CRD and I had to make a difficult decision, however I did not want that 1 bad experience ruin this exciting new journey I was on so I order new ones and have had them for roughly 2 weeks now!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I ordered 6 and God blessed me with 8.
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 Jersey Giant
1 Black Australorp
1 Buff Orpington
1 Welsummer
2 Speckled Sussex
2 Delaware
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love animals and the self sustainment.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Kayaking, fishing and play computer games if I ever have the time.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a husband and 2 dogs. They are quite pray driven but are also herding dogs so I am hoping I can revert that energy into herding them into the coop after free-ranging
I know it will be a lot of work.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC through Google Searches and I've been a member for about 3 weeks.

My first flock had MS, similar thing, I chose to deal with it. It was brutal but I got them all through it. Trial by fire on my first set of birds!
