EXCITING EGGS

My quail that hatched October 29th. Now started laying!!! This morning when I went to take care of my QQ'S ( that is what I call my quail) I found two eggs!!!!!!

What type of quail are they?

They are coturnix quail and I used the suggestion of color sexing from the breast feathers and I have 6 females and 6 males!!!!!

That's brilliant!

Remember to keep your colony ratios accordingly.
Too many males in a single covey only bring disaster. Personally I try to keep my ratio 1:10.
Over-mating of hens will lead to lower fertility rates and a surge in injuries.

That is really what I have right now a large injury I should have butchered my males a long time ago but I just haven't got the time.
