Hi everyone! We have our first ever chicks and are working on our coop. I have a question about the run. Our yard is fenced in and the previous owners actually fenced in a seperate area in addition to the existing fence. It is an area that is about 9x25. This will be where the coop and run will be. One of the sides is shared with our neighbors. My question is can we use the existing fence as a wall for the run or do we need to back it off the fence a foot or so and use the hardware cloth for the wall? Does that make sense? Also, if we either use the fence or build a seperate wire wall how would we build a skirt around the structure or would we need to bury the hardware cloth? I hope this makes sense :) thanks for your help!

Any digging is just wasted effort

If the outside of the fence is someone else's property, you'll either need to ask if you can put the skirt there, or do without

I have skirts all around mine, but nothing has ever even tried to dig in
