Exotic Bird Sale Gerard, Kansas

I've heard of a sale in Gerard, KS that happens twice a year...spring & fall. Does anyone know anything about this? can't find any info on the net. It's supposed to be one of the largest exotics sale in the country. Thanks

I have no idea but I'd love to know. I haven't even heard of Gerard, and I've lived in Kansas my whole life.

Girard is the spelling. But the auction/sale is in Yates Center.

My husband has not allowed me to go for fear of what I will bring home. His friend goes all the time. He said there is everything you can imagine and usually pretty good prices. Mostly a buyers market. I will be at the next one. I want to say it is in May...He promised that I can get peafowl this year. YAY!

My hubby would never disallow me from doing anything

after knowing me for 36 years he knows me pretty well and knows he has spoiled me rotten so telling me i can't do something after all this time could land him in the chicken barn on poop detail

The 2013 information has been updated to the HOAGBA site - http://www.gbwf.org/hoagba/index.html As we get closer to March, I will post more sale information. I will also be adding some new articles to the HOAGBA site in the coming weeks.

There has been a sale in Girard in the past, was mostly cage & aviary birds. Check with Mike on the gbwf forum, http://www.gbwf.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=8227 I knew that he had posted the dates in the past, but not sure if it's still going on.
